Pennine Housing are investing in the region of £5million pounds every year upgrading our tenants homes. The majority of this money is spent on replacing kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems, however it can include any part of the structure or fabric of the building.
Our Investment Programme is structured around and dictated by our Stock Condition Database. We have a record of all of the elements of all our properties and each one has been allocated a review date.
Prior to starting the scheme we carry out in-depth surveys to consider the accuracy of our stock condition database. At this point decisions can be made to consider the scope and extent of the improvement works. The scope of works in individual properties could change depending on individual circumstances for example; if a property has already received some improvements through our voids process then the works may be deferred to future years.
Part of the planning process will decide on whether the schemes are carried out by our own in-house teams, partner contractors or by specialist contractors.
