Target Hardening is an initiative of the Safer Communities Partnership with the aim of tackling crime reduction predominantly repeat burglaries and the risk of repeat burglaries by installation of various security features within peoples homes.

Pennine workforce are in their third year of working in partnership with the Police and other agencies of the Community Safety Partnership to help people who have had their homes burgled. The scheme is open to all residents in Calderdale whether they are tenants, home owners or in private rented accommodation.

The Community Safety Partnership provide the funding to pay for the security measures to be carried out and, following a visit from your Local Crime Prevention Officer, a Pennine operative will then come and carry out the work.
